I led the creation of the City of San Francisco’s Urban Forest Master Plan. The Plan set a goal of planting 50,000 new street trees with a focus on greening underserved communities and promoting public health, environmental justice and climate resilience. As the Plan Manager, I supervised public outreach, policy development and technical studies including a Street Tree Census and Financing Study.  The project resulted in a ballot measure approved by voters that secured $19 million annually for a new citywide street tree maintenance program.
