I currently manage contracts, grants and initiatives for San Francisco Public Works' Bureau of Urban Forestry. The Bureau operates StreetTreeSF - a citywide program to maintain San Francisco's 125,000 street trees. My role includes directing projects to achieve goals related to climate protection, environmental justice, equity and public health. I oversee a grant program that engages non-profits in achieving workforce development goals while also planting and watering thousands of new trees. In addition, I manage a multi-million dollar maintenance budget and direct work to tree care and sidewalk repair contractors.  Other projects include the development of a Citywide Street Tree Planting Strategy, Street Tree Nursery + Climate Learning Center, Urban Wood Re-Use Program and biodiversity research on California native trees.
