I managed the San Francisco Planning Department's Eco-District Program. Working with communities, I helped establish neighborhood sustainability goals and projects to achieve them. I developed criteria and metrics to monitor long-term progress toward meeting City and State environmental targets for climate, equity, waste reduction and water/electricity use. My projects resulted in GHG-free electricity requirements for new buildings in Central SoMa, a $1.5M solar installation on public housing in Chinatown and $22M for freeway greening projects. I also engaged developers and community organizations in exploring multi-building district energy and water systems.
